RETRO STYLED JAPANESE CLASSIC

The Nissan Figaro was produced from 1991 to 1992 and was built by a Nissan special projects group, the “Pike Factory” at Nissan’s Oppama Plant, Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan. Sold only in Japan, based on the K10 Nissan Micra platform, limited to 20,073 units, all in the same specification and restricted to 4 colours representing the seasons, Topaz Mist (autumn), Emerald Green (spring), Pale Aqua (summer) and Lapis Grey (winter).

This Figaro was sold by Fukuoka Nissan, Shime, on 27 September 1993 to Verdou Coco Co. Ltd, imported to Australia in 2015, and is one of the 2,279 finished in Topaz Mist, and has travelled a low 88,200 kms from new. Service history show regular servicing in Japan to 2010 @ 75,149 km, a service in W.A. in 2022 @ 85,216 km and more recent servicing in Tasmania in 2023 and 2026.

The little convertible is powered by Nissan’s 4-cylinder 987 cc turbocharged MA10E-T engine with claimed power output of 56 kW paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The retractable vinyl roof folds completely into its own boot maintaining the design lines, with the roof open or closed. A separate boot houses the spare wheel and not much else!

The art deco styled interior features ivory coloured leather seats, white faced instruments with black lettering, bakerlite style and chrome clamshell buttons, toggle switches, along with creature comforts of heating and air-conditioning. A Pioneer 6.2” touchscreen multimedia player with smartphone connectivity, Bluetooth, DAB+, CD and DVD capability has been added to the cabin, whilst the original retro style CD cassette receiver remains with the vehicle.

This retro-styled Figaro will provide enjoyable all weather motoring, with the convenience of a sliding convertible roof and the peace of mind that comes with the reliability of a Nissan.
