Introduced in September 2015, and Finishing in October 2017 the VF Series II was to be the Last Australian Commodore, before the Introduction of the Imported Opel Insignia based ZB Commodore in February 2018, Ending the 37 Year Run.
The VF SII SS V Redline Featured the Previously HSV Only LS3 6.2L V8 Producing 304kW & 570N.m as Standard, a Large Leap from the L77 Fitted to the first Gen VF which Produced 260kW & 517N.m.
To Send Off the Last Australian Commodore Properly, Holden Improved the Base Specification on the Entire Range, with the Top Commodore, the SS V Redline Reaping Huge Benefits Including: Improved Brake & Suspension Packages, Extra Collision Sensors, a Sunroof, Bose Audio, Larger 19-inch Wheels, Front Fog Lights, Leather Seats, an Enhanced Instrument Display, 8-Way Electric Driver’s Seat and Satellite Navigation.
If the Standard 304kW seemed Too Tame, Walkinshaw Offered a Variety of Performance Packages, Including Two Naturally Aspirated and Five Supercharged Packages Ranging from 375kW all the way to 557kW.
This Rare, Slipstream Blue, Incredibly Late Production (Sept ’17) SS V Redline was Dealer Enhanced from New with Walkinshaw’s W407 Package, Including: a New Camshaft, Beehive Valve Springs, Ceramic Coated Four Into One Long Tube Headers, High Flow Cat’s, 3” Cat Back Exhaust, Over Radiator Cold Air Intake and an ECU Recalibration. All Resulting in a Naturally Aspirated 407kW & 695N.m, Near on Matching the Supercharged LSA powered HSV Clubsport’s 410kW & 691N.m!
