Characterised by its curved lines, long bonnet and wide tail, the E89 was the second generation BMW Z4 being slightly larger with more passenger space than the E85/E86 model it replaced, and the only Z4 manufactured in Germany (Regensburg) as well as the only Z model to use the clever electronic folding retractable aluminium and glass hardtop, creating a coupe/convertible rather than two separate models.
