SUPERB SERVICE HISTORY, COMPLETELY UN-MODIFIED

Released in 1992 the Mitsubishi EVO I marked the start of something huge. Utilising the 4G63 turbocharged 2.0-liter DOHC inline-4 and AWD system out of the WRC Rally winning Gallant VR-4, the Lancer bodied EVO was an incredible sports sedan, with 182kW & 309Nm thrusting the 4 door sedan to instant competition success.

The EVO IX was the final ‘4G63’ powered EVO, with a claimed power output of 206kW from its 2.0L Turbo mated with a 6-speed gearbox, before the slightly larger, heavier and slower, ‘4B11T’ powered Evo X was released in 2008. The smaller wheelbase and superb handling make the more pure IX, the preferred EVO by many.

Presented in Electric Blue with Black interior this Australian Delivered EVO IX is unmodified, as built by Mitsubishi and first registered on the 14th of August 2006 by Eastside Mitsubishi of Nunawading. Comprehensive service history, including full books and documented service history shows 35 services/inspections over 20 years detailing the 5,000km service interval. The most recent service was carried out in January 2026 and include the replacement of the cambelt (and tensioner) as well as the fitment of a new genuine waterpump.

The Active Centre Differential is electronically controlled optimally apportioning power between front and rear with settings for tarmac, gravel and snow assisting the AWD system to perform regardless of terrain. Brembo brakes pull the Lancer up whilst the body hugging Recaro seats hold you firmly in place while gripping the leather clad Momo steering wheel and gear knob as you heal-and-toe with the perfectly weighted alloy pedals.

In original, well maintained condition, still retaining its complete factory running gear (including the complete factory exhaust system!), with original documentation, this Evolution IX is a 20 year old future classic, that can still be thoroughly enjoyed as a practical sports sedan.
