The Mazda MX-5 made its debut in 1989, becoming the worlds most popular sportscar, now with 37 years of production and over 1 million examples produced. The NB was the second generation MX-5, released for the 1999 model year, featuring a slightly larger, more aerodynamic body and removal of the pop-up headlights featured on the first generation NA model.

This Series II Sunlight Silver Metallic NB with Black cloth interior was delivered to ‘Alan Wilson & Associates’ of Traralgon Vic on 23/12/2002 by Albroy’s Mazda. The roadster presents in very original condition and has travelled a low ~86,780 km in its 24 years.

Performance output from the 1.8L DOHC variable valve timing engine in the Series II NB improved slightly to 113kW, up from 106kW on the Series I NB and 98kW from the last of the NA models. The steering is direct and short shift gear stick from the close ratio 6-Speed gearbox provides quicker and firmer shifts.

Inside the cockpit all controls are easy to reach. The manually operated fabric roof, with glass rear window and demister is easy to operate with two catches, opening and closing in less than 10 seconds. A Black tonneau covers the roof when down. Safety features include Antilock Brakes and front airbags.

Accompanying the MX-5 are two keys and original books with recent service records showing the replacement of the timing belt and water pump in March 2025 at 79923 km and the most recent service in March 2026 which included new front rotors and pads.

The NB maintains the traditional British sportscar layout: 2-seat, front engine and rear wheel drive layout, now ready for you to enjoy the pleasure of pure driving and a pure roadster experience. With the 25th anniversary of this NBs Australian Compliance due in May 2026, eligibility for Victorian Club Plates is fast approaching.
