30’S RETRO HOT ROD STYLE

Chrysler engineers were given freedom to design a vehicle in the classic 30’s period ‘hot rod’ or ‘sportster style’. The final design chosen for the ‘Prowler’ was approved by Chrysler’s International Director of Design who was apparently himself an owner of a modified 32′ Ford.

The Prowler’s radical design followed the already very successful and instantly recognisable Dodge Viper. The Prowler’s production ran from 1997 through until 2002, with the Plymouth name being dropped in 2001 when it became the Chrysler Prowler. Less than 12,000 Prowlers in total (Plymouth and Chrysler) had been made when production ceased in February 2002.

Following its arrival in Australia this Prowler underwent a comprehensive high quality conversion to Right Hand Drive by Perfomax International after which it received Australian compliance in January 2012.

The performance of the Prowler is ample with a weight of only 1240kg and the engine delivering approximately 214HP the acceleration is very brisk with a 0-100km/h time of 7.2 seconds. This Prowler having travelled less than 5000 miles presents exceptionally well with its original Metallic Purple paint and black interior trim in pristine condition.
