AUSTRALIAN DELIVERED GUARDS RED MANUAL

Introduced in 1989, the 964 series 911 received the first major update since the introduction of the G Series in 1974. The 964 range included the now well known Carrera 2 (RWD) and Carrera 4 (AWD) models that could be ordered as Coupe, Targa or Cabriolet Body Styles.

This 964 Carrera 2, delivered new by Hamiltons Richmond on the 16th of February 1990 to Mr Coleman, of Donvale Victoria, and has had 4 known owners between Victoria and Queensland, where it relocated to in 1993 and remained until 2023. Comprehensive service records show that the 964 has been serviced by Porsche Specialists over its life.

Contrasting the Guards Red coachwork featuring tear drop mirrors , this C2 964 wears it’s original and correct black leather interior featuring all the expected Porsche equipment, including climate control, electric windows and seats, a full compliment of VDO gauges and the addition of a Continental radio with Bluetooth and USB and Aux inputs, bringing this 35 year old classic to the modern day, without compromising the early 90’s style. The cabin also sports a Momo protipo steering wheel. The headlights contain LED globes for better night time vision.

The original flag mirrors, steering wheel (in excellent condition) and radio have been retained and are included with the 964.

The flat six engine was overhauled ~9,000 kms ago by Porsche specialist DHM Auto Solutions in Tennyson QLD when the odometer read 172047. At the same time the 964 received a new clutch, inlet manifold and Cup Cams providing improved performance. A Cargraphic hi-flow muffler by-pass has been fitted providing a spectacular burble.

This Australian delivered Porsche in the most desired coupe body has been fully maintained with a complete service history, the most recent service performed in October 2024, a mere ~275 kms ago by Porsche Specialists Auto Coupe.
