Launched in October 1975 at the Paris Motor Show, the All New Lotus Esprit was One of Giorgetto Giugiaro’s Masterpieces, with the Angular Design Noted as an Icon of the ‘Folded Paper’ Era.

This Series 3 Esprit is One of the Last of Giugairo’s with the Introduction of the Peter Steven’s Designed ‘X180’ in 1988, Moving Toward the More Modern, Softer, Rounded Bodywork.

Following the Series 2, the Series 3 Increased Both Driver and Passenger Comfort by Providing More Headroom and an Enlarged Foot-Well, in an Effort to Make the Lotus More Accommodating, Especially on Longer Tours.

This Lovely Black Esprit has Recently Seen a Huge Amount of Refurbishment, Including Fibreglass Repairs, Paintwork, Full Re-Trim and Mechanical Works, Including Custom Fabrication of New Aluminium Fuel Tanks.

Ready for the Next Custodian to Get In and Use the Lotus the Way it was Intended in 1987, this Type 85 is One of Only 732 Produced, and Weighing In, at Just Over 1,000kg these Coupes were Capable of 7.2 Second 0-100km/h Acceleration and a Top Speed of 222km/h, Quite a Punch for a 2.2 Litre 4 Cylinder!
