When released in 1968 the Jaguar XJ6 was touted by the motoring press at the time as ‘The Best Car In The World’ with the combination of perfect proportions, a ground breaking ride and all of the luxurious wood and leather that was expected from Jaguar.

The XJ6’s were continually developed from debut onwards, gaining fuel injection and greater interior space, with the Series 3 introduced in 1979, while still retaining the acclaimed Twin Cam XK 4.2 Litre six cylinder engine.

This Jaguar presents as a tidy example in its original colour of Carnelian Red with contrasting Saville Grey leather and lovely Walnut woodwork. The interior presentation is tidy with the original seats in good condition for their age. The cabin features front & rear electric windows, front & rear retractable seat-belts and it’s original Jaguar radio cassette player.

~5,000km ago the Jag received a Victorian Roadworthy Certificate, a radiator re-core, a reconditioned steering rack, new water pump and automatic transmission service, whilst more recent maintenance includes four new Hankook tyres (dated 46th week of 2024), a full set of new coolant hoses, the fitment of new wheel cylinders, front brake hoses and H4 Halogen globes.

This lovely XJ6, in well maintained ready to use condition, will make an extremely comfortable and relaxed classic car for the next lucky owner.
