THE SILVER BULLET
This Silver 1979 TR7 Convertible was imported from Longbeach California in 1998 by Powertune Motors in Norwood SA, who then undertook a restoration of the Triumph. In 2000 it was converted from Left Hand Drive to Right Hand Drive and in 2001 fitted with a Low Mileage 3.5 Litre Rover V8 engine. Both the Steering and Engine Conversions were Approved and given appropriate ‘Certificates of Exemption’ by Roads SA. These Certificates are included in a file accompanying the TR7.
This Triumph TR7 presents well being finished in Silver and sitting on 15×6” Performance Alloy Wheels. The Cockpit Interior Trim is in Dark Blue, with Matching Dark Blue Carpets and the Seats having Blue Tartan Inserts. Retractable Seat-Belts are provided for both Driver and Passenger. The Soft-Top Hood is also in Dark Blue Vinyl. The Standard Interior Features are a Heater/Demister and AM/FM Radio/Casette Player and Cigarette Lighter.
The 3.5 Litre Rover V8 Engine coupled to the 5 Speed Manual Gearbox provides Excellent Period Performance. The Torque of the V8 engine giving much Improved Tractability compared to the Original 2 Litre 4 Cylinder Engine. The Suspension, Brakes and Steering give a Positive and Encouraging Feel, while giving you the classic English Open Sports Car Driving Experience.
