THE FIRST AUSTRALIAN XJC – ONE OF ONLY 139

The XJC was Produced Between April 1975 and November 1977 and was Based on the Short Wheelbase Series 2 XJ Platform, with the Coupe Available in Both Jaguar and Daimler Guises with Either a 4.2L DOHC 6 Cylinder or a 5.3L V12 Engine. The Total Production of Coupes was Just 10,426 Units, of which a Mere 139 were Australian Delivered 4.2L Jaguar XJC’s.

This Stunning 1975 Jaguar XJC Presents Beautifully in its Original Factory Colour of Regency Red Contrasted by the Black Vinyl Roof, with Biscuit Hide Interior, and is Well Accented, by the Lovely Bright-work.

Built on the 22nd of August 1975 and Dispatched on the 8th of September 1975, this Jaguar is the Earliest XJC to have Arrived in Australia. Imported by Brysons, the Melbourne Jaguar Dealer, to be Used as their Demonstrator Vehicle, Including a Feature in the Melbourne Motor-Show, the Coupe was Subsequently First Sold on the 22nd of July 1976.

Purchased as a ‘Used Vehicle’ by Melbourne Identity Mr. Colin Stubbs, the then President of the Essendon Football Club, it was said that the Colour Combination of Regency Red and the Black Vinyl Roof Sealed The Deal, at $22,700, which is the Equivalent of $149,983.26 Today! (As per the RBA Inflation Calculator)
