MECHANICAL INJECTION WITH CHROME & OVERDRIVE

The Triumph TR6 is the final evolution of the body styled by Michelotti which began with the TR4. The TR6, powered by the TR5’s New 2.5L six cylinder engine, fed by either Lucas mechanical fuel injection or twin Stromberg carburettors was capable of up to 150BHP from new.

This TR6, has been converted to right hand drive, with Lucas mechanical fuel injection replacing the original carburettors. Presenting exceptionally well inside and out, finished in ‘French Blue’, with contrasting white interior trim, wood-grain dash, a period Mota-Lita sports steering wheel and Sony CD Tuber with Bluetooth. The sports seats are aftermarket with red RPM harness style belts and the white vinyl soft top is equipped with a zip-out rear window ensuring this TR6 is ready to be used no matter the conditions.

On road performance from the 2.5L mechanical fuel injected engine is prompt and engaging, capable of delighting Triumph enthusiasts and coupled with the 4-speed gearbox with overdrive, switched on the gear-knob makes for spirited motoring and long legged cruising. The independent rear suspension provides a significantly better ride quality than earlier live rear axle TR models, as does the rack and pinion steering, providing both light and accurate steering with ample driver feedback.

To enhance this TR6, mechanical improvements consist of electronic ignition, an electric fan replacing the engine driven fan, extractors and the ever important Bosch fuel pump to vastly improve reliability.

This Triumph is a superb example of the TR6 range, perfectly suited to top-down weekend drives through the hills or even long range GT driving out on the open road.
