REBUILT ENGINE, DIFFERENTIAL & MORE
Following the Successful Introduction of Triumph’s 2.5L Straight Six in the TR5 & TR250, Triumph Started Production on the TR6 in Late 1968, Ready for the Market in January 1969, with Production Continuing till July 1976, by which time 91,850 TR6’s were Built of which 77,938 were carburettor versions.
Built in the First Quarter of 1971 this TR6 was Fitted with Twin 1.75” Stromberg Carburettors, as per Left Hand Drive Specification, as the Right Hand Drive Specification Lucas Mechanical Injection didn’t meet American Emissions Standards.
Presenting in ‘New White’, an Original TR6 Colour, this TR6 features Excellent Brightwork, Factory Deep Dished Steel Wheels with Chrome Dress Rings and Contrasting Black Trim and Weather Equipment.
Accompanying the Triumph is a File Containing Invoices Dating Back to 2001. These Invoices Show the Purchase of a New RHD Steering Rack and Mounting Kit, New Pistons, Big End and Main Bearings, Timing Chain, Rear Crankshaft Seal, Brass Welch Plugs, Reground Camshaft, Reconditioned Differential, Spin-On Oil Filter Conversion, Stainless Steel Exhaust and a Lot More.
On the Road, the Rack and Pinion Steering is Surprisingly Light, with the Fully Independent Front and Rear Suspension Allowing a Much More Compliant Ride than Comparable Live Axle Equipped Competitors of the period, while the Straight Six feels Strong Throughout the Rev-Range, Allowing Sporting Performance when Shifted through the Smooth 4 Speed Gearbox.
The Power Assisted Front Disc Brakes Provide Consistent and Reliable Stopping Power, an Ideal Combination Offering a Real Driving Pleasure, Whether it be Cruising the Highways or Winding your way Through the Hills.
