SPRITELY RED MIDGET
With origins in the humble 948cc Austin Healey Sprite, the MG Midget proved itself to be a fantastic example of “Badge Engineering”, with the up-market Midget benefiting from a more luxurious trim package in comparison to the Sprite.
A great strength of MG Midgets is their light and precise steering and brakes, which when combined with the ‘Spritely’ engine and smooth gearbox operation provide a well balanced package, ensured to deliver a spirited, engaging and enjoyable driving experience.
This tidy Australian assembled MkIII Midget presents well with the classic black interior trim complimenting the red exterior. This Midget is equipped with weather equipment comprising of hood and cover which are both in good condition. The interior features a period sports steering wheel and digital GPS speedometer.
Powering this Midget is the iconic 1275cc BMC A-Series 4 cylinder engine and subtle mechanical upgrades include electronic ignition, ram-flo sports air filters an extractor exhaust and a brake booster.
“Spridgets” have always been a popular sports car and remain so to this day with a very strong following who appreciate the nimble feel and enjoy the sheer fun and pleasure of owning such a classic sports car capable of both spirited driving on twisting roads, and touring on the wide open road.
