AN ICONIC AUSTRALIAN BRG MkII WITH OVERDRIVE
Built Between 1968 and 1970, the ‘Pre L’ MkII MG B is Known as the Market’s Favourite, this is Due to the Combination of the MkII’s Mechanical Upgrades, Including a Stronger All Synchro Gearbox and Optional Overdrive, and the Early Pure Styling.
This Australian built 1970 MkII Presents as a Very Tidy Example, Finished in the Iconic Combination of British Racing Green with a Classic Black Interior. The Interior Trim is in Good Condition for its age, as is the Original style vinyl Black Soft Top Hood and Tonneau Cover.
In the Cockpit there are Comforts such as Reclining Seats, a Dipping Rear View Mirror, a Heater and a Couple of Non-Standard Additions including a Woodrim Steering Wheel and a Modern, Classic Style Radio, while Externally there are Chrome Wire Wheels and a Pair of Front Driving Lights.
The ‘B’ Drives Well with the 1.8L Engine Providing Good Period Performance, Boosted by a 45 DCOE Weber Carburettor, Extractors, a Fast Flowing Exhaust System, Modern High Torque Starter, and a Spin-On Oil Filter, whilst the 4 Speed Gearbox with Optional Overdrive Allows Effortless Highway Cruising when combined with the Light and Precise Rack and Pinion Steering.
