FIRST GEN, GENUINE HO CONVERTIBLE

The 1969 Firebird 350 HO saw Pontiac’s 350ci V8’s Highest Output, Tucked into the Division’s Lightest Car, with the 750CFM 4 Barrel Quadrajet, Larger Valve Heads a More Aggressive Camshaft and a Dual Exhaust, Lifting the HO an Extra 60hp Over the Standard 350 V8, and Just some 20hp Shy of the Top Spec 400ci Ram Air IV V8.

These First Generation, 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertibles would be the Last Firebird Convertibles Available for 18 Years, with the their Reintroduction in 1987, when GM, Authorised Dealers to sell Targa to Convertible Conversions by Coach-Builders “American Sunroof Company”.

Backed by Both it’s Original Body Broadcast Sheet and it’s Original Window Sticker, this “Mayfair Maize”, Genuine 350 HO has been Well Optioned with: Turbo Hydramatic Transmission, Safe-T-Track Differential (3.90:1), Power Steering (Variable Ratio), Front Disc Brakes and Springs & Shocks (Ride & Handling) Packages. The Only Deviation from Standard is the Fitment of 15” Rallye II Wheels, Replacing the 14” Deluxe Disc Wheels.

Imported from the California by “Classic Car Restorations Pty Ltd” (QLD) with the Vehicle Import Approval having been Granted on 21st February 2014, from whom the Firebird was Sold to it’s First, and Only Australian Owner.

A Receipt File Confirms Various Expenses on Maintenance and Repairs, Including an Alternator in 2015, Transmission and Torque Converter Overhaul & Reconditioned Power Steering Pump in 2017, and an MSD Pro Billet Distributor in 2021.

With Just 11,657 Convertibles Firebirds (of All Specifications) Built in 1969, they Represent Only 13.3% of Total 1969 Firebird Production, so finding an Original 350 HO Convertible, in Genuine Original Specification is a Rare Feat, and an Outstanding Combination.
