2 OWNER, AUSTRALIAN GT WITH O’DRIVE & 54,000 MILES

From 1962-1972 MG B Roadsters were Assembled in Australia, with a Total ‘CKD’ Production Figure Reported of 9090 Units, this was done to Avoid Tariff Barriers Placed on Imported Vehicles. Over the Same Period of Time it is Believed that Just 903 MG BGT’s were Sold New in Australia Due to their Much Higher Tax Laden Price Compared to their Roadster Equivalent.

This Stunning MG BGT was Sold New through Peter Manton Motors of Elizabeth St Melbourne on the 4th of July 1967, Fitted with the Optional Laycock Type D Overdrive, and Registered ‘JUC583’, which has Stayed with the MG it’s Whole Life.

The Original Owner, Mr D.E.Horman Kept the GT Until 1985 at which time is was sold to Mr T.J.Bolger, with the MkI having Only Travelled Approximately 20,000 miles (32,000km). Mr T.J.Bolger Retained the MG Until his Passing, having Now Driven a Total of Just 56,000 miles (90,000km) the Lovely MG BGT is Ready for it’s Third Owner!

Recent Works Include a Repaint in Original Tartan Red, a Retrim in Black with Red Piping and a Thorough Service. The Low Mileage Mechanicals are in Superb Condition and with the Recent Aesthetic Improvements the GT now Represents a Fantastic Package, Ready to be Used and Admired!
