SLEEK SILVER BULLET

Introduced in April of 1965, the Phase III BJ8 (3000 MkIII) was the Final Production Austin Healey Model. The Interior Trim was Updated to a More Luxurious Standard, with a Burr Walnut Veneer dash, Wind Up Windows, and a ‘One Touch’ Convertible Hood with Zip-Out Rear Window. The performance from the 150hp 3 Litre 6 Cylinder Engine was a Far Cry from the 90hp 2.6 Litre 4 Cylinder Engine of the first Austin Healey, the 100 introduced in 1952.

Dispatched from the Factory in September of 1967 as One of Only 553 Golden Metallic Beige Healeys Ever Produced. Owing to the Healey’s Involvement in the 1993 Dutton Grand Prix Rally as Part of the Dulux Silver Bullet Team, the Healey was rushed to The Healey Factory where it was Repainted Silver ready the event, joining it’s Silver Stable Mates.

Presenting in Lovely Condition, the Silver and Chrome Outer Bodywork are Well Contrasted by the Classic Black Interior Trim and Complementary MotoLita Wood Rimmed Steering Wheel, Resulting in a Sleek and Sophisticated Package.

The Numbers Matching Engine, and Gearbox with Optional Overdrive Present in Original Specification, with the Addition of some Sensible Improvements, including, an Aluminium Radiator, Multi-Blade Texas Kooler Fan, and a Spin-On Oil Filter Conversion, with the aim for Improved Cooling and Ease of Servicing.

This BJ8 makes an Ideal Tourer with its Long Legged Cruising Ability, whilst still delivering Great Period Performance. An Iconic model of the Austin Healey marque to be enjoyed to the fullest by its new owner.
