GENUINE AUSTRALIAN COOPER S

After the 1959 Debut of the Revolutionary, Morris Mini-Minor, it was just a Short 2 Years before John Cooper Introduced to the World, the First Mini “Cooper”, with the “S” following a Further 2 Years Later, in 1963.

September 1965 Marked the Introduction of Australia’s Cooper S, Imported by BMC in CKD (Completely Knocked Down) Form, and Assembled Using Local Components to our very Own Specification, Including Wind up Windows with Pivoting Quarter Lights and Hydrolastic Suspension.

This Australian Built 1966 Cooper S Presents in its Original Colours of Burgundy Red over Toga White. The Cockpit Interior is Finished in Classic Black with Contrasting Dark Red Carpets. A 14 inch Moto-Lita WoodRim Steering Wheel has been Fitted, as has an Additional Switch Panel Including Both a Voltmeter and 12V Outlet. To Add to the Period Style, there is Of Course a 4 inch Diameter Smiths Tachometer.

A Replacement Engine from a Slightly Later Mk1 Cooper S has been Fitted. Externally the Only Changes are Chrome Bullet Mirrors, Chrome Flip-Top Fuel Filler Caps and the 10” Alloy Wheels with Black Centres and Polished Rims.

The Cooper S Drives Well with Good Power, Good Gear Selection and the Nimble Road Performance that Mini’s are Known For. A True Classic of the 60’s which is Still Able to put a Real Smile on the Face of those who Remember Them Fondly, as well as Those Embarking on a New Classic Experience.
