The Ford Mustang is surely Ford’s most iconic name having been born in 1964 and still going strong.
The Mustang was conceived in 1962 by Lee Iacocca , Ford Division General Manager who delivered a very specific brief to its design team. The car must have the 5 elements specified being a four seater, with bucket front seats, floor mounted shifter, weigh less than 2500lb(1100kg), be less than 180 inches in length and sell for less than $2500 and have multiple power, comfort and luxury options. The Ford Design Studio achieved their goal in record time with the release of the Mustang in March 1964.

This 1966 Mustang Hardtop is in Excellent Mechanical Condition and comes with a Receipt File confirming a Significant amount of Mechanical Work completed in the last few years. The Mustang is finished in Silver Blue with matching Blue Interior and presents Well with Recently Retrimmed seats, Wood Rimmed Sports Steering Wheel, a Handy “HumpHugger” Centre Console and a RetroSounds Bluetooth Radio in the Dash.

As a result of the Mustang’s excellent mechanical condition, it drives very well with the 289 cu in V8 and 3 speed auto providing a very flexible, smooth and tractable power unit delivering Great Period Performance. The engine now features an Edelbrock Performer Manifold with a 4 Barrel Holley Carburettor, Electronic Ignition and Pacemaker Exhaust Manifolds giving the Go while Keeping the Engine Temperature under control is a 3 Row Aluminium Radiator and Thermostatically Controlled Electric Cooling Fan then to give some Show there is a Chromed Air Filter and “Mustang Powered by Ford” Alloy Rocker Covers. To Enhance the Driving Experience the Power Steering, Rear End, and Transmission have all been Recently Rebuilt or Serviced and the Power Brakes Rebuilt and Improved.
