Introduced in April of 1965, the Phase III BJ8 (3000 MkIII) was the Final Production Austin Healey Model. The Interior Trim was Updated to a More Luxurious Standard, with a Burr Walnut Veneer dash, Wind Up Windows, and a ‘One Touch’ Convertible Hood with Zip-Out Rear Window. The Performance from the 150hp 3 Litre 6 Cylinder Engine was a Far Cry from the 102hp of the first 2.6 Litre 6 cylinder Austin Healey launched in 1956, making it the Most Powerful of all the ‘Big’ Healeys.
