A RAG TOP BUG

The Volkswagen Beetle has been an iconic motor car since its inception, conceived and produced with the aim of being “The People’s Car”, it perfectly achieved those aims by virtue of its engineering simplicity combined with its relatively low cost, reliability and spacious interior.

This Beetle is a Genuine Australian Delivered Factory Rag-Top which has been fitted with a 1641cc VW TwinPort engine fitted with Twin Kadron Solex carburettors. The front suspension has been modified with a Narrowed and Lowered Front Axle. The body is finished in the popular distressed ‘Rat-Rod’ style, whilst the Interior has been Retrimmed in original style with Red Vinyl Seats with White Piping, and the floor of course, has rubber mats. It still has the original minimalist instruments being only a speedometer and a fuel gauge.

Performance is very good as would be expected from this later model modified 1641cc TwinPort engine package. Ideal for those who like the unobtrusive ‘sleeper’ look.
