1965 SUNBEAM ALPINE SERIES V
ONE OF THE LAST RAYS OF SUN
Introduced in 1959 the Series I Sunbeam Alpine was a 1.5L, Two Seater Open Top Sports car aimed at the expanding American Market. Produced over nine years, the Alpine constantly evolved, gaining more powerful mechanicals, until the last variation, the Series V.
The Series V Alpine gained an increased capacity of 1725cc, was fitted with a pair of Stromberg Carburettors producing an enviable 99hp and carried over the Series IV’s all Synchro Manual transmission.
This British Racing Green example is fitted with a Complimentary Factory Hardtop in matching BRG, providing ample protection from the elements, while providing rear pop out windows to allow for fantastic airflow in the warmer months.
The interior trim presents well in Factory black vinyl, with the additions of a Wood-rimmed steering wheel and Alpine CD player.
The Driving Performance is this Alpine’s Biggest Appeal, with the Inline 4 Cylinder providing Ample Power, while the Transmission, Steering and Suspension provide Confidence Inspiring Feedback.
