The Austin Healey Sprite created a huge stir when introduced in 1958 as a low cost, Fun Sports Car. By 1964 the Sprite had evolved into a much more Modern Car, with Wind Up Windows, Quarter Vents, External Door Handles and a Curved Glass Windscreen, while Mechanically, the 1098cc motor was Stronger than previous, with better casting and 2” Main Bearings, the Rear Suspension also benefited from Semi-Elliptic Leaf Springs.

Presenting Well in classic Nurberg White, this MkIII Sprite is complimented by its Widened Disc Wheels sporting 175/70/13 Yokohama tyres to give surefooted grip, complementary Black Interior Trim and the more Period Early Style Seats. The Interior also features an increasing hard to find, Original Steering Wheel and Gear Knob, Weather Protection is in the form of both a Removable Black Vinyl Soft-Top, giving a clean look and a Black Vinyl Tonneau cover.

Mechanically the MkIII’s 1098cc Engine has larger HS4 (1 ½”) SU carburettors and a Long Centre Branch, Extractor style exhaust to help it breathe well and a Thermatic fan and Oil Cooler to keep Temperatures in check. The MkIII Sprites benefit from the later and stronger ‘Ribcase’ Gearbox, which combined with the 1098cc Engine, the later style Suspension and Disc Brakes up front, make this Healey a Delightful car to Drive.
