Finished in Coloardo Red, this 1965 3000 MkIII (BJ8), with Black Trim, Matching Black Hood and Sparkling 72 Spoke Chrome Wire Wheels was Sold New on 31st July 1965 to D.P. Myrick of Marietta, Georgia USA and was Retained by the Original Owner’s Family for some 48 Years before being Imported to Australia in 2013, Including it’s Original ‘Passport to Service’.

Since it’s Arrival in Australia, the Healey has seen Significant Expenditure on Both Cosmetic and Mechanical Refurbishment which are Detailed in a Comprehensive Receipt File with Accompanying Photographs.

The Engine has been fitted with a Denis Welch Alloy Sump, Spin-On Oil Filter Conversion, Polished Alloy Rocker Cover, Ceramic Coated Exhaust Manifold, 5 Blade Texas Kooler Fan, Electronic Ignition and a Denis Welch Performance Air Filter Kit.

In 2016 the Healey had a Complete External Body Repaint and was converted from LHD to RHD, During the Conversion a Brand New Steering Box was fitted along with Adjustable Front Shock Absorber Mounting Plates, an Alternator and New Wiring Loom.

In 2019 the Interior was Completely Re-Trimmed as per Original Style with the Seats in Black Leather, Black English Wool Carpets, Austin Heel Mats and a new Soft-Top Hood in Everflex Vinyl with Matching Half-Tonneau.

In May 2021 the Gearbox and Overdrive were Rebuilt to Factory Specifications, Including the Overdrive Oil Pump, Gearbox Bearings, Synchros and Oil Seals as required as well as a new 3rd/4th Selector Fork and a New Laygear.

The One-Touch Soft Top with Zip-Out Rear Window combined with the Smiths Heater makes the BJ8 comfortable All Year Round.
