1963 JAGUAR MARK 2 2.4 LITRE

The Iconic Mark 2 is Jaguar’s Archetype Sports Sedan with its Enduring Shape, Style and Performance. Released in 1959 with Production Continuing Until 1967, a Total of 83,976 Examples were Produced, Including 2.4L, 3.4L and 3.8L Variants All Available with Either an Automatic or Manual Transmission.

This Mark 2 2.4L, Delivered new in 1963 by Bryson Melbourne to Ilford Pty Ltd, Presents Well in its Metallic Dark Blue Coachwork, set off by the Generous Amount of Sparkling Chrome. The Mk2’s Light Grey Interior is, as always a most Wonderful Place to be with it’s Beautiful Soft Leather, Polished Walnut trim, Full Complement of Black Faced Smith Gauges, Purposeful looking row of Toggle Switches and even Picnic Tables in the Rear.

With the Exception of a Toyota 5 Speed Gearbox, Replacing the Original Borg-Warner 3 Speed Automatic, this Mk 2 is Mechanically Very Similar to the way it left the Brown’s Lane Factory with it’s Iconic DOHC XK 6 Cylinder Engine Fed by a Pair of Solex Carburettors and Power Assisted 4 wheel Dunlop Disc Brakes to give you sure footed Stopping Power.

A Much More Rewarding and Sporting Drive, with Good Period Performance for a Luxury Saloon of its size, the Engine is Predictably Smooth and the Modern All Synchro 5 Speed Gearbox Allows You to Easily Choose the Ideal Ratio for All Occasions. A Superbly Practical Classic, with Space for Week Long Getaways as well as Touring Your Local Wine Region with Friends/Family, the Mk2 will make the Drive just as Exciting as Your Destination.
