The Austin Healey Sprite created a huge stir when introduced in 1958 as an Affordable, Charismatic and Fun Sports Car. By 1962 the Sprite had evolved into a much more Modern Car, with a bigger, more Powerful 1098cc motor, front Disc Brakes and more modern styling while still retaining a lot of the charm of the earlier cars with their Simple interior and Removable sidescreens which provide a useful amount of extra interior space.

This Australian Assembled MkIIA Sprite has been Restored, now Finished in ‘Aintree Green’ with the Cockpit having been Nicely Re-trimmed in Complementary Black with Grey accents. The simple Cockpit has been lined in Dynamat to dampen unwanted noise and provide an air of sophistication, there is a Mountney Leather-Bound Steering Wheel, a Map Light, a full complement of gauges and a handy storage bin for odds and ends such as your log book and pen.

Mechanically, this Sprite has had a full Engine Rebuild by Top Torque in 2004 followed by a full Gearbox rebuild by the Healey Factory in 2014 and a few upgrades to improve Convenience and Reliability, these include an Alternator, Spin-On Oil Filter, Oil Cooler and a more efficient 6 Blade plastic Cooling Fan. To Improve the Driving Experience, the Sprite is also fitted with high flow air filters and a ceramic coated Long Centre Branch Exhaust manifold to Improve breathing while the rear suspension has been upgraded with Telescopic Shock Absorbers and a Panhard Rod to help keep it all under better control.

The Full Weather Equipment, which Includes a Black vinyl Soft Top Hood and Side-Screens as well as a Black vinyl Tonneau Cover, these along with the Heater/Demister will Allow you to Use this lovely Sprite even when the Weather is Less Favourable.

Accompanying the Sprite is a Comprehensive and Thick file of Detailed Receipts and Restoration Photographs as well as a Log detailing over $45,000 of Expenditure.
