FANTASTIC HISTORY, ORIGINAL REGISTRATION!

In the Early Fifties many New British Sports Cars were Released with New Models from Austin Healey and Triumph, with the “100” and the TR2 respectively. Against this Competition the MG T Type was looking Decidedly Old Fashioned. In 1955 that was to Change, with the Introduction of the Very Pretty and Up to Date MGA with a Modern BMC ‘B’ Series Engine to Compete for the Sports Car Dollar in the Lucrative American Market.

The MGA 1600 was Uprated from Factory with Disc Front Brakes Rather Than the Drums Originally fitted to the Earlier 1500 engined MGA’s, as well as the Larger Capacity Engine’s Increased Horsepower and Torque, Providing Superior Driver’s Confidence, Especially in Today’s Modern Traffic.

This Stunning, Australian Assembled MGA 1600 MkI Roadster, was Sold New in Victoria, and to this day still retains it’s Original Victorian Registration ‘HEO692’. Meticulously Maintained, this MkI has Undergone a Comprehensive Restoration and presents Exceedingly Well both inside and out.

The Deep ‘Carn Red’ Bodywork, Complemented by the Light Biscuit Trim presents in Superb Condition, an Unbeatable Combination. The Weather Equipment is in Excellent Condition and the 1600 is still fitted with an Original Steering Wheel providing a True to Original Feel to the Interior. The Original Style 48 Spoke Wire Wheels are in Excellent Condition and Add to the Lovely Period Correct Standard.

The Engine and Gearbox are in Fantastic Condition, both Sharp and Tight, as are the Brakes, Suspension and Steering, Truely Excellent Period Performance, Capable of Negotiating the roads and traffic of Today Without Obstacle.
