PRESENTATION WITH PERFORMANCE TO MATCH!

The 3000 MkI was the First of the Big Healeys to use the New 3 Litre Version of the BMC ‘C’ Series Engine (2912cc). With its Increased Capacity and Improved 12 Port Cylinder Head Design, the Performance of the MkI was Noticeably Superior to its Predecessor, the 100/6’s Engine of Only 2639cc.

Imported into Australia in 1991, this 3000MkI was Given Another Lease on Life, with a Total Rebuild, Including Engine, Gearbox, Body, Paint, Trim, Chrome Wire Wheels and Everything In Between, all Resulting in Winning at the 1995 Austin Healey Owners Club Concours.

Some 26 Years After it’s Concours Win, this Colorado Red BT7 Still Presents in Excellent Condition, a Credit to Both the Restorers and Owners Following. The Striking Red Interior, Complemented by Black Piping in this 3000 Invites You to Jump In and Drive, and is Further Aided by Luxuries such as a CD Player, 12 Volt Power Socket and an Original Smiths Heater.

The 3 Litre Straight Six has been Uprated with a 3000 MkIII Cam, the Factory Triple SU Carburettors & Linkages From a 3000 MkII, and is Supported by an Alternator Conversion and Scorcher Electronic Ignition, Improving the Power, Torque and reliability.
