The 3000 MkI was the First of the Big Healeys to use the 2nd Generation BMC ‘C’ Series Engine, Enlarged to 2912cc, while also Introducing Front Disc Brakes at the Same Time. With its Increased Capacity and the Far Better Flowing 12 Port Cylinder Head Design, the Performance of the 3000 MkI was Finally what the Market had been Hoping for when the 6 Cylinder Healey was first released.

This BT7 (2+2 Seater) 3000 was built between September and October 1959 and Presents as a Very Standard Example, Finished in Colorado Red, which is Highlighted by the Sparkling Brightwork and 15” Dunlop Chrome Wire Wheels.

The Interior Features Black Leather Seats with Contrasting Red Piping, Matching Black Carpets and Door Trims. The Only Non-Standard Item is a Period Correct Moto-Lita Woodrim Steering Wheel. When the Weather Turns, the Original Smiths Heater, Sliding Perspex Sidescreens, Black Vinyl Soft Top and Tonneau will Keep You Warmer and Dryer.

Mechanically in Very Standard Specification, the 3 litre Straight Six is supported by: a Lucas Generator, Points Ignition, Lucas Starter Motor and Twin 1¾” SU Carburettors. A Spin-On Oil Filter Conversion has been Fitted for Greater Serviceability and Improved filtration, while a Brake Booster has been Fitted to Provide a More Modern, Confidence Inspiring Pedal Feel.
