The 3000 MkI was the first of the new 3 litre 6 cylinder engine Healey models, they also marked the shift from front drum brakes to discs. The 2 seat variant known as the BN7 has become one of the most sought after 6 Cylinder Healey’s with their uncompromising styling, and lower production figures.

Of the 13,650 Austin Healey 3000 MkI’s produced, only 2,825 were BN7’s, making up just 20.7% of the production, with the remainder comprising of BT7’s, the 2+2 seat variant.

With its “British Racing Green” paintwork, complimented by its Black leather interior, wood-rim Moto-Lita steering wheel, excellent chromework and brilliant 72 spoke chrome wire wheels, as well as weather equipment comprising a fabric soft top hood with side-screens and a tonneau cover, this BN7 is presents very well.

Offered in excellent mechanical condition, this BN7 has been improved by the replacement of its original 1.75” SU carburettors with 2” SU carburettors and a matching later type Austin Healey 3000 inlet manifold as well as an extractor exhaust system providing noticeably more power throughout the rev range.
