IMPROVED, MELBOURNE DELIVERED 100/6

Replacing the Original Austin Healey 100, the 100/6 was Introduced in August 1956, the New 6 Cylinder Healey Featured a Longer Wheelbase Allowing for 2+2 Seating, However Provided Disappointing Period Reviews, with the Early 6 Cylinder Engine Hampered by a Poor Cylinder Head Design, Resulting in Only 102bhp.

This Factory Right Hand Drive Austin Healey 100/6, was built on the 4th of September 1957 and Delivered New to Melbourne. A File accompanying the Healey lists the details of Maintenance Expenditure over a number of years as well as Owner’s Names and Dates of Ownership since its Original Purchase.

An Older Restoration, the BN4 now presents in a Classic Duo-Tone, of Red/Black with Black Upholstery. The Weather Equipment consists of a Soft-Top and Tonneau Cover both finished in Black Vinyl, With removable Sliding Perspex Side Screens.

The Healey has been treated to a number of Improvements for Better Performance, Reliability and Easier Servicing. These include a 12 Port Head, Twin 13/4” S.U Carburettors with Cable Throttle Conversion, Wade #240 Mild Performance Camshaft, Electronic Ignition, an Alloy Radiator and Spin-On Oil Filter Conversion.

The BN4 Drives Well with the Modifications giving Above Average Performance for the model. The Six Cylinder Engine is Predictably Smooth whilst the Four Speed Gearbox with Overdrive provides the Perfect Ratio for All Occasions.
