VIVE LA FRANCE

This Gorgeous Little Renault 4CV Presents Exceptionally Well Having Undergone a Complete Restoration, Finished in Bright Yellow. The 4CV is Renault’s Iconic Post-War Equivalent of the VW Beetle, Although Renault Fiercely Denied any Similarity Between the Two.

The Renault 4CV was Produced Between 1947 and 1961, with Over 1.1 Million Units Produced Worldwide. Not Only were they Produced in France but were Also Assembled in Australia, England, Ireland, Belgium, Spain and South Africa. With The Japanese Producing their Very Own Variation Under the Hino Brand.

Mechanically the Renault Appears Standard, Apart from the Fitment of an Alternator which Greatly Improves the Electrical System Reliability and Turn Indicator Lights Fitted both Front and Rear.

Whilst Producing Only 21 HP, the Four Cylinder, Alloy Head, Push-Rod Engine Coupled to the 3 Speed Gearbox will Reportedly Propel the 4CV’s 680 kg Along, at Close to 100km/h. Clearly Not an Open Road Cruiser, But Suited to More Sedate Driving Along some Country Roads, maybe Between a Winery or Two.

The Cockpit is Simple, Practical and Comfortable, in Keeping with the Design Principles of Basic, Reliable & Affordable Transport. This is an Opportunity to Own a French Icon and Savour the True ‘Joie de Vivre’ (Joy of Life) Motoring Experience.
