CLUB COMPETITION RESTORED

Having been the subject of a complete ground up restoration by The Healey Factory in the early 90’s for a prominent Melbourne car enthusiast, this Healey 100 was built to Concours Standard with the intention to be used as both a club competition & fast road car, and after completion, joined an impressive collection & was used sparingly, while having no expense spared on its maintenance.

Boring out the original block to 2.8L, using Forged Competition pistons, Carillo rods, Steel crank, Alloy head, Roller Rockers, Remote mounted Oil Filter with Oil Cooler, 10:1 Compression, Electronic Ignition, Extractors and Twin 2” SU carburettors on DMD Alloy Manifolds this Healey has a claimed 130bhp at the rear wheels, while still maintaining excellent manners and drive-ability.

The chassis and bodywork were stripped down to the bare metal, and rebuilt to new in beautiful Healey Blue. The Dark Blue Interior Trim and matching Dark Blue Leather Seats fitted with Full Harness Seat Belts are a perfect addition to compliment the competition styling of the car. In 100S style, the steel bonnet and boot were replaced with an Aluminium Boot Lid, and Aluminium Louvred Bonnet held down with 100S bonnet latches, the windscreen was replaced with a period correct Aero Screen, the bumpers were deleted, an 80L Aluminium Fuel Tank was installed and a Removable Alloy Roll Bar was fitted. Also fitted were a Hydraulic Clutch, Uprated Springs, Shockers and Sway Bar.

With its very strong engine and four speed gearbox with overdrive, and all the improvements listed above, this Healey is an exciting car which can be driven both spiritedly or more sedately.
