Beautifully Presented, this 1954 Austin Healey 100 BN1, has a Build Date of 25 August 1954 and was Delivered New to Austin Distributors P/L in Melbourne as One of Just 405 BN1’s Sold New into Australia over the Span of 3 Years.

First Registered as ‘GFV 222’ in Victoria on the 29th of November 1954 to Mrs Vena Davey of Toorak, who used the Healey in Light Competition, Before Selling the BN1 to Make Way for her BN2 in Early 1956 to Frank Porter, who with the Help of ‘Clemens Sporting Cars’ Installed a ‘Le Mans Kit’ and Continued it’s Competition History.

In 1971, After an Average Repair and Repaint, in Yellow and Black, the BN1 was Taken Off The Road and Stripped for a Restoration, which would Require 3 Owners and Some 42 Years to Complete.

The Final Restorer Acquired the Dismantled Project in 2010, Further Stripped the Healey back to Bare Metal and with the Aide of JH Classics Produce a Superb Result, True to Original, with a Strong Photo and Invoice File to Verify the Extent of Work Carried Out, and is also Accompanied by it’s British Motor Heritage Industry Trust Heritage Certificate, Original Service Manual and Correct 1955 Handbook.

Finished in it’s Correct and Beautiful Carmine Red Bodywork, with Complementary Black Seats with Red Piping and Matching Carpets, the Healey is Further Accented by a Derrington Wood-Rimmed Steering Wheel, a Set of New, Correct 48 Spoke Painted Wire Wheels, Alfin Brake Drums, Factory Heater and Period Victorian Club Badges.

In a Fitting Tribute to its Originality, the Owner had the Healey Registered in Queensland, with it’s Original Designation ‘GFV 222’, before Well and Truly Enjoying and Running in the Healey 100, Including a Trip Through the UK and Many Interstate Travels around Australia in the Years Since
