THE MIGHTY 1 ¼ LITRE SALOON

Few Post War Competitors could Match the Quality of the MG YA 1¼ Litre Saloon, with Others Offering Very Little in the way of Extra Equipment & Refinement, while the MG Featured an Adjustable Steering Column, a Sliding Roof, an Opening Windscreen, a Built-In Hydraulic Jacking System (not currently operational on this example), and a Luggage Locker Lid which Opened to the Horizontal to Also Serve as a Picnic Table.

Having been Stripped Down for a Body Off Restoration, this Two Tone, Dark Forest Green and Mint Green MG Presents Superbly, with Lovely Brightwork and Near New Excelsior Tyres. The Interior is Fresh, with the Green Piped, Light Tan Upholstery Accented by Plush Dark Green Carpets, Providing a Fantastic Space to Enjoy Your Commute.

Uprated with Twin H2 SU Carburettors and a Bosch Distributor (by Performance Ignition), this Otherwise Standard MG Performs Well, with Strong Power from the 1¼ Litre Inline 4 Cylinder Fed through the 4 Speed Gearbox Allowing Both Long Range and Suburban Touring.

The History File Covers a Significant Amount of Restoration Work, Maintenance and Service Work Completed Since the Most Recent Owner’s Purchase in 2017, and Shows that the Last Two Owners (from 2003 Onwards) have Both Lived in the Yarra Valley, Enjoying the MG Y in Rural Victoria.
