A WELL LOVED TC

At the End of WWII, MG were able to move back to making cars again after spending the war building aircraft components and modifying tanks. The first car to be introduced was the TC Midget, Produced in Only Right Hand Drive Configuration, the Roadster was Aimed Towards the Young and Adventurous who were Now Able to Claim Back Their Youth. Widely Acknowledged as the Catalyst of the Postwar Sports-Car Revolution in the USA, with the American GI’s Based in the UK and Europe having Fallen In Love with their Lightweight, Sporting Characteristics.

This MG TC was built on the 12th of July 1948, about mid way through the production of the 10,000 built in total. The TC’s red coachwork reflects its well loved life following a restoration believed to be some time in the 1970’s, this is complimented by 16” Chrome Wire Wheels that give the TC a more Surefooted feel on the road and many other Chrome fittings also set off its appearance including the Lucas Headlights and the Chrome Radiator Shell fitted with red slats.

The Interior is trimmed in Black and presents well with the complimentary black vinyl folding roof, side screens and tonneau, the Interior also features a Bluemels Brooklands Steering Wheel with twin Brooklands Aero Screens for those times you want to drive with the windscreen folded flat which is de rigueur on a TC.

This TC has over 41 years of receipts with a detailed history diary for the last 24 years with maintenance for many years by Ray Skewes, considered one of the leading experts on T Type MGs. During the current ownership Ray Skewes fully rebuilt the engine including Balancing, a Ported and Polished Head and slightly larger H4 SU Carburettors to give the XPAG engine a bit of additional get up and go.

What better way to spend a sunny Sunday than in a well sorted MG TC visiting your favourite Coffee Shop or favourite Restaurant in the hills.
