Morgan is one of the oldest, surviving family owned car manufacturers in the world, founded in 1910 by H.F.S. Morgan who run the company until his passing in 1959, when his son Peter Morgan took over until his passing in 2003. Now in their fourth generation the Morgan family continue to act as stewards for the brand. The first car built by H.F.S. was the Iconic Morgan 3-Wheeler which was joined by a 4 wheel car in 1936.

This 1929 Super Sports was delivered new on the 29th of August 1929 to Beart and Co Ltd in the UK. Sometime prior to 1941, the Morgan found its way to the British colony of Malaya. The Morgan stayed in Malaysia competing in a number of events over the ensuing years, including running in the Vintage Car Race at the 1978 and 1982 Malayan Grand Prix. In 1988 it was purchased by an Englishman, Derek Desoto-Phillips in Western Australia who managed to drive it home following its arrival at Fremantle dock before beginning a 15 month restoration. Shortly after the completion of the restoration, the Morgan was sold to the collection of Robert Holmes a Court, then passing to Bruce Buller in WA, then in 2001 Greg & Christine Stevens. Greg & Christine were passionate Morgan 3 Wheeler Enthusiasts and enjoyed the Morgan for many years using it at a number of Morgan and other Classic Car Events around Australia.

Over the years, there have been a couple of sensible upgrades which include the fitting of an Alternator, a Starter Motor, and the Original Speedometer being rebuilt and then fitted with a GPS Drive Unit. These all help make the Morgan more user friendly in the modern environment.
