AUSTRALIAN DELIVERED MANUAL IN SPEED YELLOW

The 996 was Introduced in 1998, and with it came Many Changes to the Iconic 911, with the Biggest Being a Move Away from Air-Cooling of the Engine, to Water-Cooling. The 996 was also a Physically Larger 911 than it’s Predecessor, Allowing for Noticeably Larger Cabin Space, all while Reducing the Weight of the Porsche by 50kg. The 996 Turbo debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show a year later in 1999. It was powered by a Water-cooled, Twin-Turbocharged and Inter-cooled, Mezger 3.6-litre flat-6 engine derived from the 1998 Le Mans winning 911 GT1 race car making the 996 Turbo the Fastest Road-Going Porsche ever produced at launch.

This 2002 Model Speed Yellow 996 Turbo was Delivered New by the Porsche Centre Gold Coast on the 5th of November 2001. In 2007 the 996 Turbo moved to Melbourne when was acquired by the current owner, travelling approximately 17,000 km since.

The Speed Yellow coachwork is complemented by the 18” Turbo Twist Alloy Wheels and is nicely contrasted by the Black Leather interior. Being the top of the range model this Porsche is very well equipped with the expected Climate Control, Electric Seats, CD Stacker and much more, including the optional Speed Yellow seat belts.

The Mechanical Package is where a Turbo Porsche comes alive, the 3.6 Litre, Twin Turbo, Double Overhead Cam Flat 6 coupled to the 6 Speed Manual Gearbox makes this Porsche a real delight to drive, the massive amount of torque provides great flexibility, making it very easy to drive with huge reserves on tap.

Accompanying the Speed Yellow Turbo is a full set of books with all the servicing completed by Porsche Centre Gold Coast or Porsche Centre and the Classic Partner in Melbourne. The most recent service was a major service a mere 165 kilometres ago.
