The C4 Corvette was a major turning point in Chevrolet’s history, marking the point when the Corvette shifted to a more balanced and sophisticated sports car. 1984’s new Corvette C4 boasted a complete new chassis design known as Uniframe construction, rather than the previous separate body on chassis design.

In the pursuit of weight reduction, the front coil spring suspension of the previous model was replaced with a fibreglass composite single transverse leaf spring and an anti-sway bar, the body material is fibreglass-reinforced plastic (SMC (Sheet Moulded Composite)) and the C3’s cast-iron brake calipers were replaced with aluminium ones further reducing unsprung weight and improving suspension performance.

This 1994 Left Hand Drive, Black Rose Metallic C4 Corvette was imported from the USA and received its Australian VASS certification in March 2023. It presents well sitting proudly on correct 17 inch ‘Blade style’ alloy wheels. The interior with its Light Grey leather seats and embossed headrests, the driver’s being electronically adjustable, is a great place to enjoy the Corvette experience. The instrument panel provides a useful mix of digital read-outs and analogue gauges to monitor the vitals. An updated JVC Bluetooth CD Tuner can keep you entertained.

The power train comprises the LT1 Sequential-Port Fuel Injection 350 cubic inch small block Chev, rated at 300HP, mated with an electronically controlled 4L60-E 4-speed Automatic overdrive transmission. For safety the C4 is equipped with traction control and ABS along with driver and passenger airbags.
