THE 293rd 2 SEAT, T’TOP, TWIN TURBO BUILT!
Designed on the ‘Cray-2’ Super Computer, the New Z32 300ZX was One of the Very First Production Cars to be Built Utilising Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software. Featuring Garrett AiResearch Parallel Twin Turbochargers and Dual Intercoolers, the Low Drag 300ZX TT Produced 300bhp, However Due to the Japanese Power Ceiling, was Factory Rated at 280hp.
Production Started on the 300ZX in July 1989, with Options Including: 2+0 or 2+2 Seating, T-Top or Slick Roof, Manual or Automatic and Naturally Aspirated or Twin Turbo Charged. Over the Span of 12 Years, Just 4,777 Twin Turbo, 2+0, T’Top’s were Built, with 2,850 Optioned with a Manual Gearbox.
A Japanese Delivered Example, this Aztec Red (AG2) Manual, TT, T’Top 2+0 is an Exceptionally Early Example, Produced in the Very First Month of Production, with the Title of the 293rd Example Built!
Imported into Australia, the Twin Turbo Nissan was Complianced in December 1997, by ‘Jap Aus Imports Pty Ltd’. Supplied with a History File of Invoices Dating from 2008, at which time the Z32 had Travelled 249,031km up to Current Day, the Majority of Works have been Completed by ‘Z Shop Performance’ of Burwood Vic.
In May of 2009 ‘Z Shop’ Completed a Major, Engine Out Service on the 300ZX Including: Replacing the Cylinder Heads, Replacing the Injectors, Installing a New Water Pump, Replacing the Clutch Plate and Slave Cylinder, Replacing the Rear Main Oil Seal, Re-bushing the Gearshift and Replacing the Front Upper Suspension Arms. With the Engine Freshened Up Substantially, a Hitec Computer Upgrade Package was also Installed, Providing 1.25 bar & 15 degree timing. Noted in the Invoice the 300ZX Now Requires 98 Octane Petrol, and Will Generate High Temperatures with Prolonged High Boost Performance.
Having Travelled Just 31,500km Since Dec 2008, this Z32 300ZX is a Superb Performer, with More Than Enough Acceleration to Thrust You Back into the Seat and Keep You Planted, while the 5 Speed Gearbox is Lovely and Smooth Allowing You to Hunt Through the Gears, Chasing Your Way Through the Hills.
