Introduced in 1977 (as a ’78 model year) after it’s Debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the Wolfgang Möbius Styled 928 was Intended to Replace the 911 and Take the Mantle of Porsche’s Flagship Model. However Proposed 911 Ending US Regulations Never Eventuated, Allowing Porsche to Maintain the 911’s Production and it’s Position.
