CLASSIC BRITISH STYLE, ELEGANCE & LUXURY

Introduced in 1965, the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow replaced the ageing Silver Cloud, and with it introduced a departure from the traditional separate body/chassis design, with a unitary structure, providing a much more stable and modern platform.

With the new design, Rolls Royce also introduced disc brakes (on all corners), independent rear suspension and self levelling via hydropneumatic suspension, allowing for a far superior ride quality and far better road-holding.

This Silver Shadow presents well, finished in ‘Scots Pine’ with contrasting ‘Champagne’ leather interior. The classic combination of the sumptuous leather seating, the timber faced instrument panel and door cappings with black leather dash top, adds to that aire of true luxury which has been a hallmark of Rolls Royce since its beginnings. 1976 was the last of the series I, which features the more aesthetically pleasing chrome bumpers which were replaced by the rubber and chrome version in the series II model.

The accompanying file spanning from 2013 to the Present, confirms that the Silver Shadow has been we maintained by its custodians who have ensured that necessary maintenance and service work has been carried out by specialists such as RA Chapman & Co. and Crewe Motor Co.

The engine was rebuilt in 2016 by Orger Engines with a total cost of approximately $22,500, at which time the hydropneumatic accumulator valves and spheres were also replaced with reconditioned Units.
