ONE OWNER, TWO DOOR AMAZON

The Volvo 122S was produced from 1956 to 1970 with 359,917 2 door sedans assembled by the Swedish manufacturer. For its era, the Volvo safety features were impressive and included a padded dashboard, laminated windscreen and front seat belts!

This Two Door Amazon was delivered by Lloyd and Co Pty. Ltd. of Subiaco on the 31st of May 1968 to a Mr Bruce McKay of South Perth and has remained a one-owner vehicle until now. The owner and his Amazon relocated to Melbourne in 2011. Original books and folder accompany the vehicle.

Finished in its original Dark Green duco and brown leatherette interior the Amazon presents as original. The hub caps and trim rims are in excellent condition. Given the presentation of the 122S and it being a one owner vehicle, it is believed that from new, Volvo has travelled the 71,457 miles showing on the odometer.

The B18 engine, equipped with twin carburettors produced a claimed 85 bhp. Amazons were a competitive rally car due to their robust construction, reliability, durability and predictable handling, achieving top results in Rally Monte Carlo and The Acropolis Rally.
