1968 PORSCHE 912
LMCT 7819
SN:3864
MORE THAN JUST 4/6 OF A PORSCHE
Built Between 1965 and 1969, the 912 was Essentially a Combination of Two of Motoring Histories Most Iconic Cars, an Engine Derived from the Porsche 356C, Mated to the Body Styling of the SWB, Long Bonnet 911.
This 912 decided to go Even Further by Replacing the 1.6L 356C Engine with that of a 1.7L 1972 Porsche 914 Engine, Rebuilt to 2.0L, Providing a Modest Power Increase, a Healthy Addition of Torque, and a Reduced Cost of Maintenance.
Originally a Left Hand Drive US Specification 912, Finished in Light Ivory, the Porsche was Converted to Right Hand Drive Before 1994, Utilising an Original Factory Right Hand Drive Firewall and Componentry for the Conversion, and now Wears Older Guards Red Paintwork.
The History File Shows Regular Refurbishment, and Improvements from 1994 to 2014, Including both NSW Compliance Certificate and a Thorough Engine Rebuild by ‘Vintage Vee-Dub Supplies’ in Campsie NSW, After Which the 912 has been Maintained by BMS Autohaus in Darlinghurst NSW.
This Short Wheel Base, Long Bonnet Porsche, is a Rare Find in Right Hand Drive, and Offers the Opportunity for an Enthusiast to Own and Enjoy a 60’s Porsche with Minimal Expenditure and Without the Hassle of Left Hand Drive.
