The Volvo 121 Estate was produced from 1962 to 1969 with approximately 73,000 assembled by the Swedish manufacturer. For its era, the Volvo 120 Series’ safety features were impressive and included a padded dashboard, laminated windscreen and front seat belts, while their performance saw them used in both rally events and in Police forces!

This Five door Amazon has been lovingly restored, finished in the 1965-66 only colour, of ‘Horizon Blue’, fitted with a ‘Golde’ Sliding sunroof and is set on, wider, 15”x5” Steel wheels, retaining the original hubcaps, a superb combination, sure to draw positive attention when you’re out and about.

The interior features black vinyl trim, contrasted by ‘Horizon Blue’ paintwork and light grey carpeting. For your driving comfort, a 15” leather bound Moto-Lita steering wheel has been fitted, as has a Kenwood headunit, with CD and USB compatibility. For occasions that require the transportation of longer items, the back seats fold down and lock into place providing a fantastic 1.8m long, flat deck.

Uprated with a twin 1¾” SU Carburettor equipped B20 2.0L engine, supported by ‘Scorcher’ electronic ignition, an alternator and a Thermatic fan, the Volvo performs far better than standard, with the aide of power assisted front disc brakes and the smooth shifting M40 4-speed gearbox providing a truly enjoyable driving experience.

A truly practical classic, without losing any character the Amazon Estate is a family friendly, sporting classic. Available with the Volvo is a M41, 4-speed with Overdrive gearbox, which would allow for even better touring if fitted.
