GRACE, PACE AND SPACE
The iconic Mk 2 is Jaguar’s archetype sports sedan with its enduring shape, style and performance, regarded as one of the finest sports saloons ever made. Built from late 1959, in Coventry England with production continuing until 1967, a total of 83,976 examples were produced, including 2.4L, 3.4L and 3.8L variants all available with either automatic or manual transmissions.
This Australian delivered MK II was sold new by Mervyn Dunning Pty. Ltd. (Authorised Jaguar Dealer) in early 1965. The original maintenance book shows the servicing by the selling dealer as well as Jaguar experts including Spiteri of Blackburn and St Martins Garage of South Yarra, indicating the vehicle has remained in Victoria since new.
Finished in bright red, chrome wire wheels and superb brightwork this Mk 2 is sure to draw all the right attention. The interior trim is finished in cream leather, accented by the lovely burr walnut dashboard and door cappings.
This Jaguar is now equipped with a 4.2 litre 6 cylinder XK engine matched with a 5-speed Getrag manual transmission and power steering. The cabin is further enhanced by a period style Bluetooth stereo and special integrated air-conditioning providing year round comfort.
This MK 2 has been well maintained and updated with all the necessary creature comforts and will provide the next custodian ample style and performance, without any compromises to comfort, even fully loaded with four adults and luggage.
