HEALEY FACTORY BODY & PAINT – ICELANDIC DELIVERED

The 3000 MkI was the First of the Big Healeys to use the New 3 Litre Version of the BMC ‘C’ Series Engine (2912cc). With its Increased Capacity and Improved 12 Port Cylinder Head Design, the Performance of the MkI was Noticeably Superior to its Predecessor, the 100/6’s Engine of Only 2639cc.

Sold New in July of 1960, this 3000 MkI was Delivered to it’s First Owner in Reykjavik Iceland Equipped with Wire Wheels, a Heater, Adjustable Steering Column, a Factory Hardtop and Overdrive. 24 Years On, the Healey Made Its Way to the Other Side of the World, Arriving in Australia in 1984.

Restored Between 2002-2004, the Healey was Presented to The Healey Factory for the Completion of All Bodywork, Paintwork, Trimming and Final Assembly/Finish, with the Mechanicals All Supplied after Independent Rebuild.

The Beautiful Dark Navy Blue over Old English White Duo-Tone Paintwork is Still Glowing Near Twenty Years After Completion, with the Cockpit’s Chamois Coloured Leather Seats and Contrasting Navy Blue Carpets Further Promoting the Immaculate Finish of This BT7 Austin Healey.

A Quality Fabric Soft Top Hood (Fitted in February 2018), Matching Blue Tonneau Cover and Sliding Sidescreens Complete the Weather Equipment whilst the Original Smiths Heater is Ideal for Chilly Mornings.

In the Lead Up to Being Sent to the 5th European Healey Meeting Hosted by the Switzerland Healey Club in Black Forest Germany in 2018, the 3000 MkI Received a Large Birthday with the Engine Stripped Down and Rebuilt, with All New: Engine Bearings, Piston Rings, Seals, Gaskets, Valves, Valve Guides, Valve Springs, Oil Pump, Timing Chain, Dennis Welch Camshaft (DWR1), Rocker Bushes, Reconditioning of the Head and Much More. Meanwhile the Steering Box/Column was Replaced and the Lever Arm Shock Absorbers Upgraded to Bilstein Telescopic Shocks Front & Rear.
