Produced Between 1957 and 1960, the Jaguar XK150 DHC was the Last Jaguar Sports Convertible to be Built Using the Traditional Body on Chassis Construction Method, Before the Introduction of the Semi-Monocoque Construction Used in the E-Type.
This Fabulous 1959 Jaguar XK150 Drop Head Coupe was Given a Second Lease On Life in the Early ‘90s, when it was Stripped Down for a Full and Comprehensive Body Off Restoration, Including Conversion from Left Hand Drive to Right Hand Drive, with the Bodywork Completed by Style Rod, the Mechanicals & Assembly by V&A Spiteri and the Trim by Blackmans.
Finished in the Classic Combination of Old English White, Contrasted by the Red Leather Interior, Matching Red Carpets, a High Quality Black Cloth Soft Top Hood and Perfectly Accented by the Sparkling Brightwork, Completed by a Set of 16’’ Chrome Wire Wheels.
In More Recent Year the XK150 has been Further Restored, After Winning a Silver Award at the Jaguar Car Club Vic Concours in 2015, Mike Roddy Jag Service were Entrusted to take the Restoration to the Next Level. Re-entered in the JCCV Concours for 2018, the DHC Scored 96.82, Earning it’s Well Deserved Gold.
Accompanying the XK150 is a Large Photo File, Documenting the Original Restoration, as well as a Framed Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, Verifying the Matching Number, Larger, More Powerful 3.8 Litre Engine, as well as Documenting the Original Fitment of the Automatic Transmission, an Exceedingly Rare Specification, with Just 209 Built!
