A BRITISH ICON IN RACING GREEN
October 1955 Marked the Introduction of One of Triumph’s Most Successful Models, the Triumph TR3, which Won Races, Rallies and the Adoration of the Road Going Market.
This Lovely British Racing Green TR3A has been Comprehensively Restored over the span of 5 Years in the 90’s, and still Presents Well. The Body was Removed from the Chassis and Both were Renewed to Factory Specification, the Engine and Gearbox were Rebuilt Including Reconditioning the Head to Unleaded Specification, while the Interior was Completely Re-trimmed in a Combination of Tobacco Leather and Vinyl.
Since the Restoration the TR has been Cherished, with the Most Recent Works Including: Rebuilding the Twin SU Carburettors, Fitment of Lucas Electronic Ignition, Fitment of a 14” Wood-Rimmed MotoLita Steering Wheel, New Lap-Sash Seat Belts, Head Gasket Replacement and the Radiator Renewed.
The 2 Litre 4 Cylinder Engine is in Great Tune, Producing Ample Torque, Delivered to the Rear Wheels through the 4 Speed Manual Gearbox, with Overdrive. A Great Example of a 50’s British Roadster in the Ubiquitous British Racing Green.
With a Well Organised File Detailing the TR’s History Since 1991 this Triumph is in Fine Form and is Ready for it’s Next Tour, whether that be a Local Jaunt, or an Interstate Adventure.
